News Flash: A hotel for bookworms

When I came across this hotel in GO (AirTran Airways Inflight Magazine)...I gasped.

It's called... are you ready for this?:

"The library themed hotel room is numbered according to the Dewey Decimal System, with a different selection of books in every suite."

So on top of having books in every room the entire hotel is full of lovely little places to read.

So what do you think?
Have you heard of this hotel before?
Bookworm paradise or sort of silly?

Personally I think it sounds like getting to sleep in Borders.
Count me in.
I can not wait to visit NYC again now.

And it's in Manhattan too! How wonderful, after a day (and night) out in town, to then relax for a little while with a book and enjoy the quiet.

That would be awesome... as long as I liked the selection of books in my room. :)

Ohh, nope, haven't heard of this one. AND, uh, please. If that was my room, I wouldn't step out of it to go to the bathroom. (disturbing thought, but those rooms look so cozy and adorable!)
Thanks for sharing! :)

Love it! I'd stay there for sure. So cozy, but it might keep me from seeing more of New York tho!

Brilliant! And what a way to get people to come for extended stays. You're not going to want to leave until you've finished whatever book you happened to have picked up...clever, clever.

Why didn't they just call it HEAVEN?! I wouldn't be doing much sleeping there though, I'm sure--I'd be up reading and enjoying myself all night :] What a great thing to have in such a busy city--a place to sit in calm and relax.

I actually had heard of it before. One of the bloggers that I follow stayed there earlier in the year and she took pictures galore:

Here's her link if you're interested:

I want to go there BAD!! Had I known I would've stayed there when to NY earlier in the year. :D

Oh well, there's always next year.

I love the idea. It is so cute. But speaking as a librarian, I kinda wouldn't want to sleep in a library. Library = work. Home with lots of books = paradise!

what a cool idea, I'd love to stay!

Um, I think that looks INCREDIBLE -- in fact, I'm pretty sure they'd have to force me out! I'd just grab a suitcase and a stack of my own novels and camp out there permanently!

I would totally want to visit this. It's not silly; it's heaven! (for a bookworm, that is.) This is now one of the places I would looove to visit someday, and maybe stay for a few nights :D
