This thought-provoking beginning comes from Green Angel by Alice Hoffman.

  29. Love that! I've read one other book by her...everything she writes is thought-provoking! But this sentence...life IS a gift. It's also a miracle ~ I'm living proof in a couple of ways so I try to not take it for granted.
