News Flash: The News Wolves in Town
I can not tell a lie. I am a Twilight junkie. But not for the reasons you might think. I LOVE the wolves and Native American aspects. So my urge to squeal was hard to suppress when I found this article link on Confessions of a Twicrack Addict: Snidbit: "Spencer said he’s played his share of historical American Indian characters—what he half-jokingly called “the leather and feather” parts. "What’s cool about New Moon," he explained, "is that we're in a contemporary setting." Korey agreed: "I think it’s important for people to know that there is a Native American community that’s very vibrant, and very now. We're sort of like a new Native America."

ReplyDeleteInteresting article. I've always gotten so wound up in the vampire/werewolf thing I never looked at the history of the tribe or nationality of it.
ReplyDeletehey, fellow TWILIGHT fan!

I think wolves-Native American mythology element is the strongest in the series--Stephenie did a good job creating it. I'm glad to see another TWI fan out there :D
My favourite part out of all four books was the part about the legend behind the shape shifters. I loved it. And what Spencer says is true. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletehmm im a fan and not, hate love kinda thing, ill admit still does rocks :P
ReplyDeleteVery cool!! I love the Native America aspect also! It's so intriguing even from the first book. And of course, I'm 110% Team Jacob!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think one of the attractions of Twilight is it's setting... is that of our real urban life. Makes it easier for a reader to connect with. That it also highlights a minority in our midst which we know so little about (shame on us) is a good side effect of the story!
ReplyDeleteThe native American stories do have great mystery and intrigue to them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that! Sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteawesome article! yay~
ReplyDeleteLove this! I completely agree, especially as someone who has quite a bit of Native American ancestry it's nice to see things updated. Besides, I can't lie either, I too am a Twilight junkie! :o)

It is great to see, isn't it? My adopted sibs are Native American and they love this aspect of the books and movies.
