Yackety-yak: Eclipse

The tent scene felt different. They changed my beloved Jacob kiss.
They even shortened and altered the Jacob bedside scene.
[Can you tell I'm all about Jacob?]
But overall, I loved the film. Probably the best of the three.
What did you think? Have you seen Eclipse? Do you plan to?

Unsung heroes: Sarah Clarke (Bella's mom) and Gil Birmingham (Jacob's father) have minor roles but are so amazing and well cast.
Preview note: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader preview gave me the chills! Is it possible for Ben Barnes to get any sexier?

  1. I haven't seen it yet, but one of my friends who despised the first two movies loved eclipse. I'll probably end up seeing it, but I'm in no rush. (c:

  9. I was going to go see it but my friend who is a diehard fan didn't have the money (she wanted to cry) So I told her I would wait and go see it with her when we get paid next. (I am such a good friend..LOL actually I am just not in a huge rush to see it) Will be going to see The Last Airbender this weekend instead.

  10. I haven't seen this one, and think I'll wait for a couple weeks. I was a Jacob fan, so now I'm not sure how I feel about them altering his scenes. Glad to know that you think it's the best of the three.

  12. I saw ECLIPSE last night. Hmm, maybe I'm souring on the TWILIGHT movies, but now that they're on movie #3, it just has this kind of franchised feel to it. It didn't seem as true to the books and somehow... the characters just seemed 'off' in this one. I mean, the acting was kind of weird. You're right, there were a lot of changes and it just made me forget that there even was a book in the first place. :S Wonder what they'll do to BREAKING DAWN...?

  17. Faye and Stacy: Yah! Another Team Jacob. Whoot!

Michelle: Welcome :) I've been on this side since the first time I read New Moon. ;)

Chelley: The 3rd is definitely the most exciting. :)

Amelia: You have a definite point :)

Julie: Alice and Jasper are such a cute couple ;) I have a feeling we have similar crushes ;) Gerard (Butler), Andrew (Lee Potts), and now Ben (Barnes).

Lizzy: They did alter the 3 best scenes, but you should definitely still see it. It is exciting and has great fight scenes. Plus you get to see the wolves in pack action and Leah does momentarily mouth off to Bella ;) I still wish Leah and Jacob had ended up together.

Lady: You are an awesome friend! And you still get to see Jackson/Jasper in The Last Airbender. I do love MNight.

  18. I'm just dying to see this! Hopefully this weekend since we will hopefully be staying with Grandma & Grandpa for the weekend again. I'm really interested in how they changed the tent scene now, and that kiss! AHHHH!!! Have to see this!

  19. Amazing! Best so far!!! Ahh I did hate the hair it seems like everyone had horrible hair. Taylor makes Jake better because I had no love for him in the books. I agree that Gil was great!

  20. My daughter Puppet and I went to a 12:03 AM premiere showing. We think we liked Eclipse a lot, but we're going to have to see it again to be sure. We were stuck in the middle of an audience of very, very young 20-somethings (<-- the kind without real lives) who out-loud drooled and sighed over everything-- even Jessica's graduation speech! At one point, we'd hoped a theater employee would come in with a fire hose for crowd control purposes, but one never did, so we'll be heading back for another viewing to catch all of the dialog we missed. LOL!

  21. Sparkle: What a bummer! That's the reason I didn't go to the late showing. People can be so rude. I hope you get to see it again :)

Cari: Really? I had nothing but love for Jacob in the books. Taylor does do an awesome job. You're right about the hair! I hated Victoria's. But then again - I just want Rachelle back. :)

1st daughter: I can't wait to chat it up with you :) I hope you see it this weekend. *fingers crossed*

  22. I'll watch this when I get a chance, but I dont' know when that will be. Hopefully this weekend. I'm glad to hear it's good- I was completely underwhelmed by New Moon.

  23. I'm pretty sure I have to agree with you -- although I am all about Team Edward... I loved this one best so far.

  25. Lorielle: oooo I don't remember that trailer for some reason. I guess I have some investigating to do. ;) Thanks for stopping by!

NotNessie: :) Oh and the fight sequences are pretty awesome in this one.

  27. I'm definitely planning on seeing this one, too -- just wanted to let the crowds die down a bit before heading to the theater! I get a little antsy with screaming 13-year-olds swarming around me. A friend told me she thought it was the best of the three, too!

  28. Cherry: Can't wait to see what you think :)

Meg: I agree with your pal :) and totally feel ya. That's why I tend to go to a show during the day when the kiddies are away.
