My warning: The following review is brimming with copious amounts of fangirl love.
My summary: Evie thought she understood her place in the world. She aids mankind by helping her agency collect and control unruly paranormals. Until someone starts hunting and killing innocent paranormals. Suddenly everything she has ever known to be true is called in to question, including her own identity.
My say: Paranormalcy is fun fun fun. No really! It is everything a YA paranormal should be; a light, exciting, edge-of-your-seat adventure with a side of love and romance. Evie has a hip laughable inner voice. She is cute, quirky, and obsessed with the color pink. In short, she rocks! She can kick butt, save the world, and steal the heart of a hottie shapeshifter.
My verdict: BUY this book! I can not wait to pick up my own copy.
My star rating: 5 out of 5 stars; I just loved this book. If you are looking for something to jar you out of a reading slump, this it it!
My favorite line: "Normal was stranger than paranormal sometimes."
My love-o-meter: Innocent sweet young love? I need more Evie and Lend.
My kiddie-o-meter: Sure there is murder and the occasional nightmare visitor but there is nothing gory, no cursing, and no sex.
My adult-o-meter: Vampires, fairies, werewolves, and mermaids...oh my! This fun romp is sure to appeal to adults fans of fantasy creatures. I know I couldn't put it down.
My cautionary note: Vamp fans, beware. The vamps take a back seat to the fairies and sea critters in this one.
My cover thoughts: Perfection! The hair, make-up, and dress are almost exactly like an outfit Evie sports in a pivotal scene. Bravo HarperTeen!
My final say: If you could meet any kind of paranormal, which would you choose?
