I also like embedded or if it is a pop up comment box, then please don't navigate me away from the main post, that frustrates me, because I would like to re-read the post so that I can comment on everything.
I like embedded just because my popup blocker can hide the popup window. Or I loose it behind so many other windows. Love the pic of the two ladies in the fancy dresses :)
Personally, I like the pop-up windows. I find that it loads faster rather than waiting for the full page to load again (which seems to be the opposite of what everyone else finds!) and I like how you can easily re-read certain parts of the post without scrolling up.
I like pop ups.. because when it's a long post or if I want to write my comment as I read the post, it's easier. Embedded means going all the way up and down and up... :(
I like popups. Sometimes, when there are tons of comments in one post, it's a nuisance to scroll all the way down. But it doesn't bother me these days.
I'm definitely more of a pop up girl. I'm not a fan of going back and forth if I need to comment on more than one post (which happens often). Although, this is a bit of the pot calling the kettle black...I have yet to figure out how to make my own comments pop up. :o)
I like embedded but had to switch to pop-up because my comments stopped showing. Others have had the same problem. I’d love to switch back but I’m afraid the problem will repeat itself.
as long as there isn't a captcha phrase after the embedded post it's fine. But I often post a comment and close the blog before the captcha phrase pops up. I prefer the pop-up.
I'm glad you asked. I usually prefer the popup, because the embedded form hates me. I normally have to submit my comments twice (three times if using capcha) before the embedded form will accept them.
Comments either way are fine for me. I have occasional issues with both comment forms, however with the embedded I do sometimes miss the word verification and never leave a comment becuase I close too fast. I say whatever works for you baby!
Wow. Thank you ladies for all the feedback. It appears embedded is winning so far. But only by a two point margin. I'm still pondering my choices... ;)
I definitely prefer popup-- I can minimize it to see the original-- then when I've finished commenting, I am right where I left off on the blog. Now there is only a one point margin!
I prefer embedded. Sometimes pop-ups don't load very quickly, or you get an error message and lose what you wrote, and that's frustrating. Plus, I often have many windows going, and if something pops up, I may have moved on to something else and forget it's there, and by the time I realize, whatever I wanted to say is gone.
oooh, first commenter!! i like embedded b/c my computer is slow sometimes and it takes FOREVER for the pop ups to load. :)
ReplyDeleteI like pop-ups better.
ReplyDeleteI also like embedded or if it is a pop up comment box, then please don't navigate me away from the main post, that frustrates me, because I would like to re-read the post so that I can comment on everything.
ReplyDeleteEmbedded; it takes forever for a pop-up to fully load.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time here, so hi :)
Stella: Oh the independent windows. I don't like those either ;)
ReplyDeleteThe pop up window. But either is ok with me!
ReplyDeleteI like the pop up window--thats me
ReplyDeleteI like it when it is embedded. It just seems easier.
ReplyDeleteI think the pop-up window... Though it's okay either way. :)
ReplyDeleteI like embedded. The pop-ups don't always load. I also click back a lot in order to comment on specific sentences.
ReplyDeleteOoo even tie so far :)
ReplyDeleteI like embedded just because my popup blocker can hide the popup window. Or I loose it behind so many other windows. Love the pic of the two ladies in the fancy dresses :)
ReplyDeleteCari: 1. Good point! I've had that happen to me :)
ReplyDelete2. Thanks :) they make me want to run to an English tea house immediately.
the pop up window
ReplyDeleteembed
ReplyDeletedef. embedded
ReplyDeleteEmbedded are okay, but I prefer the pop up....for me it usually takes less time to load
ReplyDeleteEmbedded, though I don't know why. Pop-ups kind of irk me.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I like the pop-up windows. I find that it loads faster rather than waiting for the full page to load again (which seems to be the opposite of what everyone else finds!) and I like how you can easily re-read certain parts of the post without scrolling up.
ReplyDeleteStill neck and neck :) Interesting :)
ReplyDeleteThanks all!
Keep the thoughts coming!
Embedded! I'm stuck with dial-up out here in the sticks and it makes things easier for me!
ReplyDeleteI like pop ups.. because when it's a long post or if I want to write my comment as I read the post, it's easier. Embedded means going all the way up and down and up... :(
ReplyDeleteEmbedded. Just easier to me. C:
ReplyDeleteEmbedded!
ReplyDeleteI like pop ups, so then I can still read the post while I comment. I'm lazy like that ;)
ReplyDeletePop up window, for sure. Because if I'm reading at work, the network won't let me comment on embedded ones. I don't know why. But grrrr.
ReplyDeleteembedded is nicer for me... :)
ReplyDeletePop-up! I have trouble with the embedded ones sometimes (and they take FOREVER to load).
ReplyDeleteEmbedded comment boxes! They're easier and load up with the page. :D
ReplyDeleteEmbedded for sure!
ReplyDeleteI like the comment box embedded.
ReplyDeletei'm a pop-up kinda girl myself....
ReplyDeleteI really don't have a preference, either one is fine =)
ReplyDeleteSorry I have been gone for a while. Will do my best to catch up!!!
ReplyDeleteIn reference to your question, either is fine with me! :)
I like both of them......pop up seems to load faster but Im not on a certain comment team..:D
ReplyDeleteI like popups. Sometimes, when there are tons of comments in one post, it's a nuisance to scroll all the way down. But it doesn't bother me these days.
ReplyDeleteI like it they way you have it. It works great!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely more of a pop up girl. I'm not a fan of going back and forth if I need to comment on more than one post (which happens often). Although, this is a bit of the pot calling the kettle black...I have yet to figure out how to make my own comments pop up. :o)
ReplyDeleteEither way...I'll still be commenting. ;o)
1st daughter: *hugs* :D
ReplyDeleteNo preference!

ReplyDelete:o)
I have to say that I prefer the comment box
ReplyDeleteembedded below the post. I think it makes it easier. =)
Cozy: Thanks doll for your input :)
ReplyDeleteBere: Me too, I think ;)
I've always wondered about this too! But I find embedded ones make it easier to comment. :)
ReplyDeletePop up used to really annoy me, but I now I prefer it to having to scroll down.
ReplyDeletebox embedded below, I find it easier.
ReplyDeleteEmbedded below. Hmmm. I'll have to check to see what my blog is. But I wouldn't know how to change it anyway.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this picture -- I'm going to steal it.

ReplyDeleteMisty: I feel the same way these days. Pop-ups are just another step ;)
ReplyDeleteKim & Cherry & Josette: Agreed :)
