A garden of discarded books? This has to be the most innovative and creative use of unwanted books I have ever heard of. Check it out here.
Wow, if only our yard was big and nice enough for a book garden;) Thanks for checking out our blog!-Leslie
What Happens when is rains?
Wow, that's crazy!! And yeah, what does happen when it rains? Poor books :/ Such a cool idea though.
Jillian and Cleverly: Good question :) I think that's part of the project. To let the books naturally decompose and work with that. They have mushrooms growing within the books.
I wonder about libraries and books becoming extinct. I sure hope not--I just love smelling and handling real books.
Wow...now THAT would be my kind of garden! *daydreams of endless reading*
That is wicked cool! i quoted you on my blog today.!
Now that's innovative! Wow! Thanks for sharing the link :)
But... won't they get wet?
Cool idea but won't the books get wet when it rains.
i SAW that somewhere the other day! so very cool!!!!
Thanks for the link back sweetie! Don't you love the little mushrooms growing? :) xo
I'd want to rescue them...
I will never give up my real books. NEVER. Really. There is no way I will trust a kindle. What in the world are people thinking? The book is lasting. There are times I think the internet and computers can and will fail and there will be no written hard copy of anything left. Long live REAL BOOKS!!
cool use of old books . . .
Kim: I sure hope not too! :)Kay: I thought so too :)Cherry & Jenny: I think the point is to let discarded unwanted books biodegrade in a beautiful way :)Michelle: You're the cutest :) Thank you!Shannon: I do love that! :)Julia: I feel you. I agree. I have a Kindle. I love my Kindle. But nothing compares to a real book. ;)It's sad though the way people don't respect books anymore.
Cute idea! I dunno how practical, but cute indeed! :)
