Genre: Christmas, Christian Fantasy, Christian Fiction Romance

My summary: Cora and Simon are both lonely souls until they wander into a bookshop of matchmakers.
My say: Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball is a sweet balanced treat. While there is a heavy dollop of faith there is also a rich mix of magic. Rarely does a book offer faith and magic together and this book is definitely magical. From the secret ticket that mysteriously finds it's way into their shopping bags to the old-fashioned costume romance ball, this book oozed magic.
My star rating: 3 stars
My recommendation: If you're a fan of CF and need a bit of holiday candy, definitely pick this one up.
My favorite part: The costume ball.
My favorite character: Simon's little sister.
My favorite character: Simon's little sister.
My cover thoughts: I adore this cover. It is everything a holiday cover should be.
My kiddie-o-meter: This one is clean as a whistle.
My holiday cheer meter: Low Medium High
My final say: Have you ever been to a big old fashioned costume ball?

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad this book's at least a 3! With a cover this adorable, it would have been disappointing for the book to not be enjoyable.

ReplyDeleteFirst off...love that book cover! The colors jump out at you and illustrate the title perfectly. Not generally a reader of CF, but I have made the occasional exception. I shall certainly consider it...oh and sadly no, but an old fashioned costume ball sounds like fun! Thanks for sharing, Juju!
ReplyDeleteBlod: My sentiments exactly :)
ReplyDeleteGMR: :)

ReplyDeleteSadly I've never been to an old fashioned costume ball. I always wanted to have one, and one time for my sister's birthday we talked about it. But our friends wouldn't probably even dress up! :( Maybe one day.
Great review! Happy reading!

Now from reading the comments... matchmaker matchmaker make me a match...
ReplyDeleteNo never been to any ball but this one sounds like a fun read.
ReplyDeleteThe cover is adorable. I'm really sure this is for me but it just looks so Christmassy.
ReplyDeleteOh, I have to agree with you, I love the cover, especially the "font type". I finally figured out what you meant by "CF". In my world it means Cystic Fibrosis. In the book world it means Christian Fiction.
ReplyDeletei just adore the cover! i want to jump right into it! i've seen this book around and thought the premise sounded really sweet - and an old fashion costume ball - too much fun!!! sign me up!
ReplyDeleteAww, I love the holiday feeling on your blog, Juju! I can feel it! This book sounds like a great read for the holidays too. I love reading about Christmas magic :D
ReplyDeleteThis sounds fun! I have never been to a costume ball, but it is on my bucket list ;)
ReplyDeleteI like the cover... but only 3 stars?!... maybe when my TBR pile is not so high anymore...
ReplyDeleteCherry: Good thought :)
ReplyDeleteChristie: Amen! Mine too :) Along with an old fashioned sleigh ride in the snow :)
Justine: Why thank you! :)
Stacy & Jenny N. & Gabrielle: Agreed! I've always dreamed of wearing a gorgeous red ball gown like the one Mia wore in Dracula the movie. :)
Gina: It is great font isn't it? Good eye! LOL I'm so sorry for the "CF". I'm not sure if it's an actual term but I just get so tired of constantly typing out "Christian Fiction" so I thought I would shorten it like YA. :)
Becky: Understandable and thank you sweetie for stopping by and commenting :)
MJ: Oooo now that song is in my head. I LOVE that song :)
Leslie & Andrea & Meredith: Thanks darling for stopping by :)
Hi thought this one was really cute. A little far-fetched fantasy-wise, but very cute. I read it in November and caught a little Christmas spirit from it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog! :)
Jenn: It was bit fantastic but that is the great part about fantasy :) Thank you SO much for stopping by! :)
