"It's the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle-belling
And everyone telling you
Be of good cheer
It's the most wonderful times of the year..."
Lovelies! Can you believe it? It is finally Christmas time. I can barely contain my excitement. I adore Christmas and in turn adore Christmas books. They remind me to enjoy the season and the things that really matter. So in honor of this joyous holiday, Whimsy is going all Christmas for the month of December.

WOW! I'm really lagging! I need to get to work! Please, tell me you haven't finished all of those!?! They're just what you're planning to read?
ReplyDeleteI'll be starting soon. I'm so ready to be in the Christmas mood!
Gina: Yah! I can't wait to see what you're reading. To answer your question, out of the 10 above I've read 8 :)
ReplyDeleteJuju...thanks so much for the recommendation for A Simple Amish Christmas. I really loved that story (although I wish the ending was a bit longer). It was the perfect sweet holiday read. (And I loved the hero and his Amish beard...yay!)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas,
Penny
You're doing so well, Juju! I wish I had such a thing for Christmas books haha I rather spend my time decking the halls ;)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I can't, I have too many books lined up. I am reading one! Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball, I am excited about this book, it looks great and has a beautiful cover!
ReplyDeleteHappy December!!
ReplyDeleteThough it's raining outside here and while that's just peachy for Florida, in Canada it feels decidedly un-Christmasy
NotNessie: LOL you're right, that does sound like perfect Florida weather ;) Sorry darling! I do hope it shapes up for you :)
ReplyDeleteWall-to-wall: I read that one :) It's lovely :) Enjoy!
Melissa: LOL I feel ya ;) Luckily I started early.
Penny: Yah! I really liked it too. I agree, I wanted more couple time at the end. As for more Amish tales: I've been hearing good things about White Christmas Pie and I'm getting ready to try An Amish Christmas by Cynthia Keller.
Hope you're having fun this holiday season, Juju! And by the way, I love the chrismassy look on your blog =) It suits!
ReplyDeleteGirl you are going all out! Have fun and Merry Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteXOXO~ Renee
I LOVE the picture of the little girl up there!! I'm hoping to start reading A Simple Amish Christmas and Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball, even though I won this one for my momma, I still want to review it :)
ReplyDeleteIf you've already read 8 out of 10, you're doing great!!
Happy Christmas-month :D
ReplyDelete♥Isalys
Juju,
ReplyDeleteI've signed up for a Christmas reading challenge, too that I'm pretty excited about. I'm very much looking forward to your reviews for some of these.
Merry Reading!
Sounds like you'll be making the most of this wonderful time of the year....can't wait to see all that comes of it. Happy holidays...and happy reading!

Gmr: Thanks doll :)
I love Christmas too! Great job on your reading and hope the traveling is going well!
ReplyDeleteHave you read Dash and Lily's Book of Dares? It's set around Christmas in NYC. Really cute!
ReplyDeleteI ♥ Christmas! :D Enjoy your holiday reads, Juju!

ReplyDeleteFun list!!
ReplyDeleteI love the cover of Christmas at Harrington's. I keep seeing it everywhere and have tried to win it. Can't wait to hear what you think of it, Juju!
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for some Christmas spirit reading. I even have my Santa hat on :D
ReplyDeleteYou are so prepared! I've got to get in gear for Christmas....I've got all my shopping done - does that count????
ReplyDeleteOhhh your lists get me all craving hot tea with honey and sitting by my fireplace reading a Christmas Amish story full of fluffy friends and romance....:D
ReplyDeleteTina: Mission accomplished ;)
ReplyDeleteStacy: That SO counts. I have most of mine done too. :)
Andrea: You sure are! Look how cute you look too! :)
Renee Ann: Ooo Renee it's SO good. One of the best I read I think. I think you will love it. She has this line in the story about Jesus and Santa that is totally perfect :)
MJ: Thanks hon :)
Midnight: *high five*
Maya: I will I will :) Thank you :)
JessicaBookLover: Thanks darling :) You too!
Cari: Oooo thanks for the suggestion :)
Alyssa: Thanks :) I'm home for now but I will be gone again soon :)
Yay! Christmas! I can't believe it's here already. Where has the time gone? This year is almost over. Yikes! I don't have any Christmas shopping done, yet. I hope to fit in a couple of Christmas books.
ReplyDeleteYay for Christmas! I'm listening to Christmas music and making peppermint hot chocolate, and everything is just perfect :) Those books look so cute!
ReplyDeleteI watched the Hallmark movie Call Me Mrs. Miracle last weekend, so I'm curious about the book - I really enjoyed the movie. It was very cute!
ReplyDeleteI love that you are doing all Christmas books!! Can't wait to add some good ones to my TBR list. I've started watching my standard movies-A Christmas Story, The Bishop's wife with Cary Grant, Home Alone, etc etc! Such a fun time of the year. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks likie a festive month coming up. Unlike you so far I have not read any Christmas books yet so might have to remedy that by visiting the library.
ReplyDeleteHooray for Christmas! I realized that I rarely read Christmas books that are regular fiction. Instead, I always end up rereading my old copies of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and The Polar Express.
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely be checking back for some festive posts :)
Christmas is truly a wonderful time of year, enjoy your Season books. :-)
ReplyDeleteI received my lovely gift of Key Lime Pie in the mail. It made my day!
ReplyDeleteRenee Ann: Reallly? That fast? Fantastic. Did you like the ornament? :)
ReplyDeleteMarce: Thank you :)
Liz: Clearly you appreciate the fantastic classics :D
Jenny N.: Definitely :)
Kim: Oooo you have standards flicks? *high five* Brilliant girl! :)
Ruth: Ooooo I can't wait to see that. The book is super cute! :)
Meredith: Peppermint hot chocolate? Can I come over? ;)
Julie: DEFINITELY use the BookDepository :) They have free shipping on any order :)
you make me wanna go all xmas too ;-D
ReplyDeletei may go towards movies though and starting out with classics Holiday Inn and White Christmas, then on to Christmas Carol (with Jim Carrey)
You my dear have the holiday spirit. I feel to be a bit laging in this area.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I did manage to find a wonderful Steampunkery Santa that I pasted on my side bar.
Keep up the cheer, perhaps it will rub off on this sour puss. *smirk*

Yes--I loved the ornament! I only didn't mention it because I didn't want to make everyone jealous! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm very interested in reading Call Me Mrs. Miracle. Should I read Mrs. Miracle first?
ReplyDeleteVv: Oooo I hope you do. Christmas movies would be truly splendid and I will definitely keep my fingers crossed that you decide to do it. :)
ReplyDeleteMad: I LOVE your Steampunk Santa! He's brilliant! Love it :) *high five*
Renee Ann: Yah! :) I'm so glad! :)
Julie: Good question. I actually preferred Call Me Mrs. Miracle to Mrs. Miracle and read Call Me Mrs. Miracle first. I say you start with Call Me Mrs. Miracle. The stories are independent of each other and you shan't have a problem. I look forward to your thoughts :)
Wow! So many exciting Christmas books! I'm so excited this year for some reason, probably the kiddos because they're both extremely involved this year. I can hardly wait for Santa to come and it's not for me!
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't read or picked up Dash & Lily's Book of Dares you really should. It's very "Christmassy" and such a GREAT read! GMR got me hooked and I couldn't put it down. I'm also reading Grace so that I can hopefully participate in the discussion! :o)
looks like a great collection of books for the season. enjoy! :)
ReplyDelete1stdaughter: I think GMR was just recommending that one to me :) Thank you so much for the recommendation :)
ReplyDeleteI am SO excited that you're reading Grace. *happy dance* *fingers crossed* I hope you LOVE it :)
Kaye: Why thank you darling :)
I've been having trouble getting into the Christmas spirit, but your excitement is contagious!
ReplyDeleteTo answer the question you left on my blog: I'm definitely team David. You?
Thanks for the advice on Call Me Mrs. Miracle. I downloaded a sample of that one and Christmas at Harrington's to my Kindle :)
ReplyDeleteYou are going Christmas crazy!
ReplyDeleteLove all your Christmas reviews girlie! :) xo
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Juju!!! :)
ReplyDeleteJulie: No prob darling :) It is totally my pleasure. Let me know what you think of Christmas at Harrington's. :)
ReplyDeleteMichelle: Amen! That's me :)
Shannon: Why thank you sugar :)
Cherry: To you too my darling sweet friend :)
