If you love vintage and you like art deco, I definitely recommend you pick up the February 2011 InStyle magazine featuring Miss Dita Von Teese's picture-perfect old Hollywood style home. Her luscious art deco library makes me swoon. Isn't it gorgeous and sumptuous? Which part do you like most? I'm leaning on the roman shades and lamp.

ReplyDeleteI was just telling Wendy (Caribousmom) that I can't wait to get my bookshelves organized here at the new apartment so I can share them with everyone. My new blog, A Huge Library in a Small Apartment, will house my entire library catalog along with pics of all my shelves. I'm hoping to get started on it in the next couple of weeks.
Wall to wall shelves and over the window! Yep, the shelves are my favorite-- are those book in the window seat as well? Now that's a book lover!

2. I know right? Minus the knick knacks and stuffed animals (I'm a minimalist) I love the fabrics, furniture, walls, and floors. *le sigh* Vintage makes my heart soar. That pink kitchen made me oooo and ahhhh. O and that car! Mr. Whimsy asked me the other day if we were rich what car I would want. My response: "When I'm a baller - I roll strictly vintage." Cars from the 20s and 40s make me skip a beat.

That library looks so beautiful! The main thing I want whenever I buy a house someday (hopefully soon!) is a HUGE library, just like Belle's. :) I saw Dita on CSI last Thursday.
