Ok so technically I'm cheating. I haven't bought this book yet. I did pick up the Kindle sample based on my pal Michelle's advice (The Red Headed Book Child). So far it is so totally cute, snarky, and funny that I will definitely be buying a copy.

  4. Oh! This is such a great author! I'm so glad she recommended it to you. You will love her! She also has a semi-memoir about her grandmothers called "Don't Sing at the Table" and I LOVED it! You will totally dig her grandmothers. :o)

  22. I really love this author and definitely must read more of her stuff. I don't think it's cheating to take a teaser from a sample. A teaser is a teaser is a teaser - no matter where it's from.

  28. You know, that's the one thing that tempts me about kindles. I really like the idea of peeking into a book before I buy it. I never have enough time at the bookstore to read a chapter or two to decide. Also, love the teaser!

    Okay, this is off of the teaser, but the other day I had a plumber here at the house. When he was working on the dishwasher he reminded me of Dan Aykroyd's impersonation of a plumber on SNL. Do you remember that?

  47. These totally hit me like a ton of bricks but it was right after I lost my grandma and the relationship between her and her own G, really made me happy and sad at the same time. I am SO SO glad you are going to pick these up. So sweet...I'm going to cry now....:(
