I know Water for Elephants movie news are everywhere BUT I had to pass this on just in case you hadn't heard it. According to a recent interview in BookPage: Cool, right? I know I will be keeping my eyes pealed for Ms. Gruen."Gruen and her entire family have cameos in the movie. Her big moment comes when Robert Pattinson (as Jacob) brushes past her during a tense scene with a runaway circus animal. "I'm the astonished woman watching an elephant (Rosie) steal produce!" she says."

ReplyDeleteooo, me too! i love when author's make cameo appearance. what a fun scene that will be to see ;-D
ReplyDeleteSara is pretty enough to be an actress with a leading role. Beauty and brains! The world is so unfair...
ReplyDeleteVery cool :D
ReplyDeleteOooo hahaha I would have passed out! It's RPattz afterall :-P
ReplyDeleteOh that is neat! Kinda like Erin Brockovich!!
ReplyDeleteI always think it's fun when authors are somehow involved with the film version of their books. I'll definitely keep an eye out for her when I go see it.
ReplyDeleteOk I'm not sure what rock I've been living under, but I didn't know this none was going to be made into a movie. I loved this book!!! I don't know if I'd appreciate as much as a movie but I bet my dad would.
ReplyDeleteHaha that's cool! Thanks for the info!

ReplyDeleteThat's cool! I'll have to watch out for that seen!
ReplyDeleteI love know tidbits like this. It makes me feel like I'm in the know. I know...I'm silly.
ReplyDeleteInteresting! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI'm just hearing all about this film now in Australia after a gorgeous photoshoot of Reese Witherspoon in the style of the film. It looks like an incredible must read book....x
ReplyDeleteCool. It's always fun when the author/writer makes a cameo. Like Stephen King in almost (or maybe all?) of his books turned movies...and even Stephen Meyer in Twilight. ^_^
ReplyDeleteI have plans to see the movie with a friend on the 26th and I'll be keeping my eye peeled for Gruen.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to see the movie though I haven't read the book yet (I just got it last week). I had heard she was going to make a cameo appearance-I get Bookpage at my library :)
ReplyDeleteI may have mentioned before (like a thousand times or so) that I adore this book. I can. not. wait. to see the movie. Though I'm having a hard time deciding if R Patz is a plus or a minus to the whole situation.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up! I'll be looking for Gruen now.
Ohhh thanks for sharing Juju, I'll definitely be keeping my eye out as well! I definitely would have missed it if you hadn't mentioned it, I just don't pay close enough attention to little things when I'm watching a movie:)
ReplyDeleteI love it when authors make cameos! Will have to watch for this.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us know Juju!
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows about the movie but I didnt know the author would have a cameo. I will be looking out for it when it releases.
ReplyDeleteI love reading little tidbits of news like this! :D

ReplyDeleteOh! Very cool! I love author cameos like this! I also recently found out that Emily Giffin, who wrote Something Borrowed (movie is coming in May) has a cameo in her movie as well. So exciting!
ReplyDeleteJessicaBookLover: LOL ;)
ReplyDeleteLily: No prob :)
Danielle Angel: Oh good news! Now I totally want to know in what part :) *stepping away to web search* Ok I'm back. I searched and searched and can not find it. I'll have to keep searching. Thanks for the tip.
That's SO COOL!! =D I'll definitely try spotting her!
ReplyDeleteDazzling Mage: I know, right? I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteNow we know. My favorite cameo is in Erin Brockovich where Ms. Brockovich played a waitress name, appropriately, Julia.

That is so cool!
ReplyDeleteManoflabook: That was a good one! :)
ReplyDeleteCari: :>
Ooh, so cool! I'll have to remember to look for her when I see the movie :)
ReplyDeleteOh! So I should have said, probably, that I found out about Emily Giffin's cameo from her. I had a conference call interview with her last weekend about the movie and other bits. That was something we talked about. She's going to be sitting on a bench reading a book in one of the scenes with Rachel in it. I can't wait! I'll have my interview up in about a week. (I'm not allowed to do it sooner, because it has to be close to the movie release.) I think you'll love the movie though! Excellent Chick Lit! ;o)
ReplyDeleteYA: :)
ReplyDeleteDanielle Angel: OMG no way! You conference called EG? WHOA. I'm not worthy! *bows to you* Thank you SOOOOOOO much for posting that detail. When your post goes up (if it's ok with you) I'll post the scene (like I did this one) and encourage my readers to head over and see the rest of the interview. :)
You are absolutely worthy! LOL I was in absolute shock when they emailed about it at first, but Emily ended up being incredibly down to earth and so nice.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have you post the info here as well! That would be wonderful! :o)
Danielle Angel:
ReplyDelete1. LOL :) It was a totally a Wayne's World moment ;)
2. What a super cool honor!
3. Wahoooo! I was hoping you'd say that!
I cannot wait to see this movie. But I must read the book first. I've heard such great things about it.
ReplyDeleteAwesome -- thanks for sharing this tidbit, JuJu!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks to The1stdaughter for the Something Borrowed news!!
GREAT POST :)
Joy: I can't wait either. But I'm debating weather or not to read it first. :)
ReplyDeleteYvonne: Thank you for visiting :)
I just watched this last night, but I forgot to look for her in that scene! I'll have to look for her next time...because I will definitely be watching it again.
ReplyDeleteHi Juju,
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't mind, but I referenced your blog in a post I made today.
