Wee-view: Can You Keep a Secret?

1st Words: "Of course I have secrets. Of course I do.
Everyone has a few secrets."
2¢ Worth: Sophie Kinsella strikes again with a wickedly funny chatterbox who spills her guts (after too many vodkas) to a handsome stranger on a plane. Only to find out later the handsome stranger owns the marketing firm she works for. While the story isn't new per se (it's a classic girl meets prince tale), Sophia brings it hilarity, levity, and her gift of funny oh-so-true inner dialogue. Sophie's books are like book candy. You can expect them to be sweet, sassy, and light. So the next time you need a quick retreat pick up Can You Keep a Secret? for a fun sugar rush. 4 stars

Whippersnappers: Sex, sexuality, and profanity.

  6. Very funny premise. A higher-brow switcheroo from that TV show Undercover Boss.

  27. I can never remember if I read this one or not. I know when it came out, I was just about ready to give up on Kinsella because, as much as I loved the Shopaholic series in the beginning, it was frustrating to see the character get older but NEVER GET WISER. So I took a Kinsella break. But then I read that one with the lost cell phone (I've Got Your Number) and Sophie and I kissed and made up. :)

    1. You know, I never was attracted to that series. I don't have that shopping gene so I never tried it. The movie was cute though and I do usually love everything else of her's that I try.

Ha! I love that you said you kissed and made up. :)
