Couldn't be more true and such a perfect way to spend the day. Even better when it's raining or snowing and you can hunker down with a comfy blanket, a great book and a yummy cup of tea!
Loving the quote, but I beg to differ to some degree. A co-worker and I were just talking about how almost EVERY new book being released is a tome in length as opposed to days gone by. Not complaining mind you, just like a shorter read now and then. ^_^
I love this one! I can finally read for pleasure now that it is summertime. I just retired from teaching science and all I really had time for was reading science. Robin Sue
I love C.S. Lewis! And this is a great quote. :) I started Anna and the French Kiss while I was on the plane to Washington and while I was there I kept sneaking away to read it a little here and there. So, that's definitely a book I wish was a little longer. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. :)
Being the tea & book lover you are, I can definitely see how you'd love this quote. Love CS Lewis! I'd absolutely agree with the second half for me personally, but since I don't drink tea...maybe hot chocolate? ;o)
Great quote! I did a big yayyy when he mentioned tea. LOL
ReplyDeleteSO CUTE!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic quote! I feel the same way. I love books and I love my tea.
ReplyDeleteBlueice: I love the metal image of you yayying :)
ReplyDeleteJillian: :)
Christina T: Agreed :)
I love the quote even though I don't totally agree with it. I have found a few books to be too long!
ReplyDeleteBermuda: LOL Good point B!
ReplyDeleteI usually don't like hugely long novels but I'm reading Franny Billingsly's tome, Chime on kindle, and I could not put it down all day yesterday!
ReplyDeleteCatherine: Oooo that is suppose to be good. Enjoy getting lost in Chime.
ReplyDeleteCute quote and true for some like me too! Thanks for participating!

ReplyDeleteAh truer words...I agree with Alyssa, tea and a book are the only way to spend a rainy day
ReplyDeleteLoving the quote, but I beg to differ to some degree. A co-worker and I were just talking about how almost EVERY new book being released is a tome in length as opposed to days gone by. Not complaining mind you, just like a shorter read now and then. ^_^
ReplyDeleteI don't need chunkster books either -- just a long, leisurely afternoon reading something.
ReplyDeleteperfect book lovers quote :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know so much about the tea but the book part so true.
ReplyDeleteAww, this quote is brilliant! =)
ReplyDeleteThere really is nothing like a good cup of tea/coffee and a chunky big book!
ReplyDeleteChange tea to coffee and I am SO THERE.
ReplyDeleteSo true! The bigger the book, the better it is.
ReplyDeleteBooks & tea! Two of my favorite things :) Thanks for sharing this fab quote!
