If you're like me and totally smitten with all things steampunk, then you have to check out the link I just found at Kady Cross.com! Clockwork Couture.com is marvelous!
This is awesome! I read The Girl in the Steel Corset mainly because I loved her dress on the cover - I'm totally seduced by fashion. :) And though I think those corsets look super painful, I LOVE the stockings!
Clockwork Couture is wonderful! I ordered clothes from them last year and love them - both the clothes and the company. I called with questions before I ordered and the girl I talked to was so sweet and fantastic and helpful.
I showed my hubby just now and he's drooling over nearly every page. LOL He said we'd have to find somewhere to wear it all, but he'd really like the suit they have. Hilarious! Still, so cool! And since he's writing a steampunk novel right now I may just have to get him one of the pocket watches for a present some time. Thanks for the tip! :o)
Tea, Alexis, and Misha: Let me begin by apologizing for not getting back to you sooner. Read this post (http://www.fuzzycoffeebooks.com/2011/09/what-is-steampunk.html) to learn what Steampunk is. It's brilliant!
Nevey: Me too :)
Cherry: Oooo you going?
Sarah: They are painful but don't they look smashing?
Please, I have to confess. What is "steampunk?" I think I like it. Not sure.
ReplyDeleteI have to ask the same question - Can you please explain "steampunk"? I really feel illiterate in all things to do with steampunk.

ReplyDeleteThis is useful for the next Fantasy Con in London in April 2012... :)

I’ve never actually read a book that would be considered Steampunk. I’m feeling sheltered :) Hopefully I can rectify the situation soon.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous clothes! Love the boots and jewelry! Fun, fun :)
ReplyDeleteSteampunk is pretty rad though I haven't delved in to the genre too much yet.
