Wee-view: Torment

The good = Luce gets some backbone
The bad = No questions answered
The lovely = Miles
2¢ Worth: Despite the fact that Torment takes it's time, it was nice to see Luce actually questioning her future and past with Daniel. She feels more empowered and less desperate in Torment. The most enjoyable aspect of this story is without a doubt Miles. Finally a sweet, kind, loving, fun guy shows Luce there is more to life than the morose Daniel. I look forward to seeing what happens to Miles. 3 stars

Whippersnappers: A few profanities and some definite line blurring between the angels and demons.

Glad you are enjoying Luce's development.

  2. I didn't like Fallen so I did not pick this one up... I will wait for the end of the series to see if this book is worth picking up after all... keeping my eyes and ears open... Thank you for sharing your two cents with us! :)

  3. I really enjoyed the fact that she starts taking things into her own hands. I love Miles too!! However i am all about Daniel as well. I was a little upset that it left you with even more questions. Passion answered some but i still have more :) Im hoping Lauren Kate answers everything in Rapture.

  4. Haha, loved how you put it, "Luce gets some backbone" because that was what annoyed me most in Fallen. I've bought Torment, still reluctant to pick it up...

  7. Were you looking forward to questions being answered? If I'm looking for answers and I don't get it I'm usually devastated. Glad it was good for you.

  12. Yes, I like Luce's backbone in this one, too. Though, I wasnt as crazy about Torment as I was Fallen. I love Miles! Daniel, in this one, seemed too possessive or something. I'm still a Cam girl. I like the dark bad boys in books. In life...I'd definitely pick a Daniel! Looking forward to Passion.

  16. I really enjoyed Miles too, but you are right....there aren't many questions answered in Torment. I bought Passion and am hoping to read it soon!

  18. I tend to have a hard time reading when a book 'takes its time' but I've only heard awesome things (and some not so awesome things) about this series!

  19. So glad Luce explores some other options to Daniel in this one! I liked him in the first book, but I didn't like how need she was and it seems like that is taken care of a bit in this one:)

  26. Nice reviw! Even though Miles sounds sweet I have a feeling that in the end it will always be Daniel.

  27. I just finished Passion last month. I enjoyed it, but was upset that so many questions still weren't answered. I expected this series to be a trilogy, and now it's gone on past four. I want to see what happens! lol I'm impatient. And after reading your thoughts, I now know that my questions probably won't be answered in Torment. Ahh.

  28. I'm glad to hear that Luce is stronger in Torment. Her helplessness was one of my issues for Fallen.

Thanks for stopping by our blog!

  30. It's been so long since I last read Fallen. I'm glad to see that Luce is getting more empowered. It's sad that no questions has been answered. I really would like to read this soon :)

  35. Wee-view! That is too cute! I love the name. I tried to read this one but couldn't get through it. I have trouble w/angel books and Fallen was just so-so for me. I ended up stopping about 50 pages in because I just didn't care about their separation anxiety.

  36. Cherry: I feel ya. Sounds smart ;)

Laura: Yes! Are you saying there is going to be 4?

Ivana: Me too! I was like, "Seriously girl. Fight a little."

Penelope: Yuppers YA :) And amen on that dress! LOVE it.

Alexis: I admit, I was. I was kinda bummed that nothing was revealed.

    Gina Hott: Caught me ;)

Julie: I can see that. Fallen was more exciting. OMG and yes Daniel was super weird and possessive in this one. Does the boy never learn? I usually don't like the bad boys but I like Cam. Funny that you mentioned that. I like good boys with bad boy streaks in good life. ;)

Gina Precious: Oh wow good question. Yes if you like angel books and don't mind slower books :) Hope that helps!

Blod & Anna: I feel ya!

Christina Book Addict: I look forward to hearing what you think :)

Tina: Luce could use some slapping huh? ;)

    Hafash: Totally understandable!

    Alyssa: *smile* yes

    Jenny N: You're probably right!

    BeachVintage: It is :)

Gabrielle: Yeah Laura mentioned that to me. I had no idea. 4? I may have to toss in the towel or skip to the last book. I usually don't do that but I'm with you. I want to know but I'm finding myself impatient.

Sally: Nope *high five* Thanks for stopping by!

BookJunkie: I don't know. She's starting to lose me. I was hoping for 3 but know that I know it's going to be 4 books I'm not so sure. You?

Kelli: I can totally appreciate that. This one is more about character development :)

All: Thanks for your comments gals :)
