Sometimes

"It doesn't matter what people tell you. It doesn't matter what they might say. Sometimes you have to leave home. Sometimes, running away means you're headed in the exact right direction." - Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman

Happy Monday chickadees! How did you spend the last weekend of summer? We strolled a couple of festivals, took the long way back to the city (where I stopped to shoot this picture), and then spent Sunday relaxing.

  1. What a great photo! I went to a big festival around here, the Plano Balloon Festival. Unfortunately the weather prevented the hot air balloons from launching, but we still got to see them, and it was awesome!

  20. Sounds like you had fun! And what a beautiful photo....Gotta agree with Missie, it'd be great to live in a place with so much green grass like that. But, I shall be content with the sort-of green patches of grass I have ;)

    Fabulous quote :D

  22. Beautiful photo Ju-Ju! It was a cool weather weekend for us, so we had the windows open to air out the house, and did some cleaning. Not exciting but it had to be done :)

  23. Practical Magic is a book?! How did I not know this? I feel ashamed to be a self-named book lover because I love this movie but had no idea that it was a book first.

  30. Love that quote from Practical Magic, although in this case, I liked the movie better (a rarity). It's actually one of my favorite movies!

Let's see, last weekend of summer was spent at a library sale and a movie. Not very summery activities I'm afraid. I'm SO ready for Fall. How about you? =O)

  37. Awesome picture & meme! We spent the last weekend of summer at the lake for a friends birthday. Well, they called it a lake, but it was more like a swamp and of course our dog jumped in. It was a stinky ride home.
