Happy Monday chickadees! How did you spend the last weekend of summer? We strolled a couple of festivals, took the long way back to the city (where I stopped to shoot this picture), and then spent Sunday relaxing.

What a great photo! I went to a big festival around here, the Plano Balloon Festival. Unfortunately the weather prevented the hot air balloons from launching, but we still got to see them, and it was awesome!

Was that really the last weekend of summer? Oh no! I should have spent more of it outdoors, especially since Sunday was so lovely.

ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing pic. I spent my weekend eating at amazing resturants and spending time with my hubby. Also visiting my uncles grave he died a year ago i know sad but it was nice to pay my respects. Also went to a library book sale.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pic! I stayed inside and shivered all weekend...it was cold here! LOL
ReplyDeleteLovely picture! I spent the weekend sick in bed. I think I had a stomach bug or something.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so peaceful! I just want a blanket and a book!
ReplyDeleteI love that photo! I've been enjoying the last few weeks of summer. I love the fall but hate that winter comes shortly after.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo! It's hard giving up the last days of summer! Fall doesn't seem to last long enough either before the cold and snow show up!!
ReplyDeleteI need to watch that movie again. loved it. :) I slept in. lol.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I'd love to live in a place like that, surrounded by all the green! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had fun! And what a beautiful photo....Gotta agree with Missie, it'd be great to live in a place with so much green grass like that. But, I shall be content with the sort-of green patches of grass I have ;)
ReplyDeleteFabulous quote :D
Lovely shot JuJu. I'd love to vist your town, it looks so beautiful in fall. And I'm jealous about the festival. I'm debating going to the fair here in October.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo Ju-Ju! It was a cool weather weekend for us, so we had the windows open to air out the house, and did some cleaning. Not exciting but it had to be done :)
ReplyDeleteHiya :D
ReplyDeleteLove the pic
Practical Magic is a book?! How did I not know this? I feel ashamed to be a self-named book lover because I love this movie but had no idea that it was a book first.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely picture! Sounds like you had such a nice weekend. As much as I like the summer, I'm really enjoying the cooler breeze that blows through here every once in a while. :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous quote! I still need to read the book, as I loved the movie (and I feel a bit guilty about watching it first). Hope you had a fabulous weekend :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pic and tempting morsel!
ReplyDeleteI would like to read this book--I love the movie.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous meme idea! And what a gorgeous photo! :)
ReplyDeleteLove that quote from Practical Magic, although in this case, I liked the movie better (a rarity). It's actually one of my favorite movies!
ReplyDeleteLet's see, last weekend of summer was spent at a library sale and a movie. Not very summery activities I'm afraid. I'm SO ready for Fall. How about you? =O)
Sounds like a wonderful way to spend Sunday! :)
ReplyDeleteDidn't do anything special...had lots of school work to do and only a couple weeks into the semester.

Awesome picture & meme! We spent the last weekend of summer at the lake for a friends birthday. Well, they called it a lake, but it was more like a swamp and of course our dog jumped in. It was a stinky ride home.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture! I can't believe you took that yourself, it looks so professional!
ReplyDeleteIs this like the movie Practical Magic? If so, I had NO idea it was based on a book! It's one of my favorite movies, so I'll have to look into the book. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat quote! I love that book!
