Free Kindle eBook Alert: A Simple Amish Christmas

Good morning! It's alert time! A Simple Amish Christmas by Vannetta Chapman is currently FREE for the Kindle. I really connected with this Christian Fiction gem when I read it last December. Click here to read my review of A Simple Amish Christmas. So tell me ladies, do you have any plans for the upcoming weekend? Mr. Whimsy and I are taking a childbirth prep class. Can I admit I'm nervous?

Don't have a Kindle but still interested? Consider downloading the Kindle reader (for free) for your for PC, BlackBerry, or iPhone. Own a nook? Check out Free Friday at Hott Books.

  8. Ooh, I remember wanting to read this when I read your review! Thanks for the tip, Juju!

BTW, I harbor a not so secret wish that when the time comes, the stork is going to bring mine! :)
I mean, every time I even think of having a baby, I always get stuck on the labor part a bit - it makes me more than a little nervous too. So, I can only imagine how nerve-racking it is to be SO close to the labor part. But HEY! You're expecting such a beautiful and miraculous gift this Christmas!

  10. We took a class too and it REALLY helped. The Lamaze breathing helped me so much. And Mr. ISRBR was a great coach. Enjoy your class and pay close attention because it was so helpful!

  21. No, I did not go natural, I was induced and had an epidural. BUT, my epidural did NOT work on the "bottom pain". It helped the contractions, which I did not feel but I felt everything from the waist down. OUCH!!! I had no idea that could happen but after it did, and talking with other moms, it can happen. I knew you could get "hot spots" of pain but I didn't know it could not work for an entire area like that. So, the Lamaze breathing really helped with the pain. I don't want to scare you but I would have wanted to know BEFORE I took the risk of an epidural.

  22. Kaye: :)

Jade: Right on! I hope you love it so far :) And thank you sweetie for your words of support. *hugs*

Kelli: Oo! I had no idea! Good to know. Wow. Thank you SO much for the warning! Do you still think you would have had the epidural?

  23. Ooooh, new picture in the header, I like!

I was scared to have the twins too. But here's the thing, but the very end, you just want your body back and you'd walk over hot coals to make it happen. Nothing scares you as much as the cankles that used to be your lower legs.

As for the epidural, you can do what I did...slightly exaggerate the amount of pain you're in so the doctors give you the drugs early and often. I also made a point of telling *everyone* I wanted the epi...the doctors, the nurses, the orderly mopping the floors, the valet parking guy...whoever was listening.

LOL I feel ya. I'm getting there. Oh and girllll I know what you mean about those cankles. I miss my skinny feet ;)

OOooooo good idea! Why didn't I think of that? You're brilliant! Thank you for sharing that nugget of wisdom.

    Oh and twins? Wow.

Briz: Hey you! Hilarious no. But sweet yes :) Thanks for stopping by!
