Howdy sugars! It's almost turkey day!
Are you excited? Are you cooking? Bringing a dish?We are going to celebrate with the in law's. As for bringing a dish, this year we're taking it easy and only bring something simple. So I am making Rachael Ray's Cranberry Sauce recipe. For some reason Baby Whimsy has me craving cranberries.
So tell me what are your plans?

We're celebrating with the in-laws as well, we drive up to see my husband's enormous family every year. We actually have to rent out a room at a country club to fit everyone:) Happy Thanksgiving Juju!
ReplyDeleteSo glad Baby Whimsy creates cravings that match the holidays :) Glad to know that you and BW are both healthy and happy. Wishing you many blessings, Juju!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you, honey! I'm headed out to see the Grandparents this evening for my Thanksgiving celebration!

BJ: Oh fun! Enjoy and save travels.
Sounds fantastic Juju. Enjoy it on my behalf too! As for me...I've got to work and so our Thanksgiving plans (family dinner) have been essentially cancelled. Yeah..none too happy bout that but what can you do. Have an extra piece of turkey for me!
ReplyDeleteGood baby Juju! Cranberries are good for you! Have a lovely restful Thanksgiving my dear sweet bloggy friend!
ReplyDeleteHey babe!!!! Yes I am excited! I love Thanksgiving! Now remember you are eating for two this year! So eat all you want :0)
ReplyDeleteWe are going to the in-laws too! We take turns and it is their turn this year. I am taking - candied yams, fruit salad (with whipped cream and marshmallows - yum) and Maple walnut pumpkin pie (double yum!)
You, the hubby and baby-to-be-named-later have a great day!!!!
yummy, cranberries are good for you :) The kids are coming here on Friday *hooray*
ReplyDeletethat sounds so yummy!!
ReplyDeleteI'll be thinking of you!
Mmm, cranberry sauce is my favorite! It's definitely a staple for Thanksgiving. My son and I are going over to my aunt's house for our traditional family dinner, but I'm not bringing anything this year--which is a first. Feels weird, but it's nice to have the pressure off.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the sauce! :)
Going to my parents and bringing food to share with them. I haven't seen my parents for a while. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love Thanksgiving! We're going to my family's at 1pm and I'm bring some sort of veggie dish (I'd better get on that) and then going to the almost-in-laws around 5pm for whom I think I'll just make brownies or cupcakes or something easy!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy yours and let baby Whimsy eat whatever she needs! <3

Wishing everyone a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING~
ReplyDeleteToday's the only day our son got off, so we're visiting him for Thanksgiving. His apartment is tiny, so we're staying in a hotel and I have to tell you, I'm surprised at how crowded it is. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!! :) I always like cranberry sauce!
ReplyDeleteBB: Babycakes? *smile* I like that. Happy Thanksgiving to you too doll :)

ReplyDeleteA belated happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! I'm sure your cranberry sauce was great. No holiday meal is complete without it!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely time at the in laws. I love cranberries too :) Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteMy DIL brought a lovely pumpkin cheese cake - and I cooked the rest. Being far away from family, we just always gather close in! (But with all the boys we have, it still is rather large)
ReplyDeleteI hope Baby Whimsy had her fill of cranberries. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your in laws love having you there to spoil with good food and company. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
I hope you had a brilliant Thanksgiving, Juju! :)
ReplyDeleteMeg: Thank you and you are SO right!
ReplyDeleteJenny Girl: I did thanks :)
Bluecotton: Welcome :) Thanks for visiting and commenting on my site. I bet the meal was scrumptious and sometimes smaller gatherings can be the best :)
Missie: She sure did :) And thank you!
Melissa: Thanks doll :) I hope yours was too :)
Hope you had a wonderful holiday Juju! Craving cranberries? That's a new one. :) I remember craving grilled cheese and chocolate shakes.
ReplyDeleteYou have great taste! :)
DeleteHope you had a great Thanksgiving. My job was to chop up the veggies that goes into the dishes...onions, celery, etc. But I overslept and my mom did it. I'm so bad :(
ReplyDeleteLOL :) Yay for mom.
DeleteI guess you could say this was my first real "adult" Thanksgiving. It was awesome. I did some things and then Christy of Southern Sassy Things and her husband came and joined us with more food! It was the four of us, plus my two girls and it was fabulous. :)
ReplyDeleteBTW- your blog is looking pretty spiffy these days. ;)
Oh wow. That sounds positively lovely.
DeleteAnd thank you so much! :)
Happy Thanksgiving! (late)
ReplyDeleteyum, I *love* cranberries too. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for with these lil babes arriving soon! :)
ReplyDeleteAmen :)
DeleteI also was craving cranberries and made a special dish. But, before anyone could fix their plate at my in-laws, one of the casseroles exploded (it was inadvertently placed on a hot burner) and glass got in all the food. No one ate anything except for a piece of pie!! It was a Thanksgiving to remember, but thankfully no one was hurt.
ReplyDeleteO no! How awful. And definitely memorable. I recently exploded a pitcher of baby formula like that.
DeleteHappy belated Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteWe spent a quiet day at home. We live so far from family it makes traveling to see them during the holidays impossible. Its ok though. The husband is rarely home, but the holiday season usually equates to no training missions. This means we actually get to spend time together so I can't complain. Hopefully our next assignment will take us closer to family.
I hope yours was wonderful!
Nice :) I hope it was relaxing and lovely.
DeleteHey, hope the time with the in-laws was good! :)
ReplyDeleteI did actually :) thank you!
DeleteThat cranberry recipe sounds wonderful! Love cranberries! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! (So sorry for the delay it getting in touch.) xo
ReplyDeleteOh no worries doll! :) Thanks for stopping by.
Deletehope you had an awesome thanksgiving!!
ReplyDeleteI did. I hope you had an awesome one too :)
