Cinder (won at The Book Rat)
Airborn (borrowed from the library)
I cannot believe the weekend is almost over. Sweet Baby Whimsy kept us busy and I didn't get any reading done. But I did start Airborn by Canadian author Kenneth Oppel.
GreenBeanTeenQueen called it, "Treasure Island meets Around the World in 80 Days."So tell me, what did the postman bring you this week?
*Vintage Reader's Digest Worlds Best Reading editions for my collection.

Yay for Cinder! I've only heard incredible things about it so I hope you enjoy it! It's definitely on my to be read list! I hope you and Baby Whimsy are doing well! Have a great week Juju :)
ReplyDeleteWe are, thank you darling Katie! :)
DeleteI just finished Cinder this afternoon and LOVED IT. I'm about to start writing a gushing review. I don't know how she crammed so much stuff into that book, especially stuff I never would have thought could work together! I hope you enjoy it too!

ReplyDeleteI think I remember Ethan Frome. It's been years but I remember really liking it.
DeletePerfectly thrilled that you are going to give The House of Mirth a go! Belle

Deleteno books in my mail, I have yet to read the 20 books on my nightstand. & I have only read about 10% from the Reader's Digest Worlds Best Reading list. It's too bad "Black Beauty" isn't on the list. That is such a wonderful book.
ReplyDeleteYou're like me. I like having a small TBR.
Delete:)
Oh and I'm with you. I have allllot of reading to do to catch up with that list. I figure I'll work on the collection and also work on reading one or two from it per year.
Can't wait to read Cinder. I've read nothing but great things! Nice classics. They never go out of style. Is that your typewriter?
ReplyDeleteAmen sister! I love my vintage book shelves. :)
DeleteGood eye. That is our typewriter. It was my husband's grandmother's. We inherited it when she passed away. She adored teal. I want a pink one to put beside it.
Hope Airborne is going well. Enjoy them all when you have the time in between taking care of the adorable Valentina!
ReplyDeleteThe Airborn audio is going great actually :)
DeleteWhat I really wish and can't wait for is more time to sit and read your delicious book! :)
I will probably be getting Cinder soon too since the author has a signing my in area coming up. Happy reading!
