  8. Cannot vouch for the book version of Fireproof, Juju... but the film is spectacular. It isn't even "geared" towards me and still I thought it was beautiful. =) Highly recommended.

  9. First of all, CONGRATULATIONS ON BABY WHIMSY!!!! Oh my, oh my, I never knew just how sweet life could be with a baby in it. Life is good. And I am a Fireproof (movie) fan! It was definitely a little cheesy at times, but also a great reminder to not take my husband for granted.

  26. Yay for Baby Whimsy's mailbox! And isn't that platypus adorable! Mine met an unfortunate fate, I left him in his box on my desk at home and went out to run errands, and when I came home there were bits and pieces of him scattered throughout the house. Apparently my dogs found him hugely entertaining:(

  40. What fun! I love the platypus too, absolutely adorable! And yay for The Hungry Caterpillar! You will both get many many reads out of that one for sure!

I'm interested to hear what you think of The Clockwork Prince recording. I could hardly finish it, though I love the series. The girl who narrates it just grated on my nerves. But that's just me! Hopefully you'll really enjoy it! :o)

    ReplyDelete

    1. Thanks :) I can't wait to start reading with her.

So that girl got on your nerves? Did you like the guy? Did you try the first book as an audio as well?

      Delete
    2. The guy on the recording was much better, though it took some getting used to because he has a pretty thick accent. She just sounded like she was reading directly out of the book which was odd to me since she's an actress. I didn't listen to any of the others, I've only read the print versions...which I loved.

Hopefully I'm not totally raining on your parade! I hope you still enjoy it no matter. :o)

      Delete
    3. O good! At least he's good.
I feel ya on accents. They take me time too.
      Oo she does sounds annoying.
No worries. Thanks for the warning. *fingers crossed*

    1. An audio is all about the narrator. When you ready, you should try Neil Gaiman. His narration is awesome.

      Delete
    2. I will have to remember his name and check out of his audio books one day, maybe listen to it on my long drives.

      Delete
    3. O do do! Try Coraline! It's dark but fabulous! And his voice will make you feel like you're sitting around a bonfire swapping scary stories.
