Whimsy Update: Ciao Baby! to Memes

I have a confession to make. I can no longer do day-of-the-week memes. It's not that I don't love certain memes. It's that with my new super awesome job as Baby Whimsy's mama, I have to blog when I can and that means I can't always align my time with certain days of the week. Sure I can set up a post for a certain day but I may not have time to comment back on those days.

I bid adieu to Musical Monday, Cover Crazy Monday, Treasure Trove Tuesday, Waiting on Wednesday, Wishlist Wednesday, Etsy Friday, Friday Finds, Foreign Cover Friday, Book Beginning Friday, Friday Finest, Friday 56, Saturday Snapshot, Quote-It Saturday, In My Mailbox Sunday, and Christian Fiction Sunday.

From now I am going to post the song or cover that I like, the book I am waiting or wishing for, what I found on the internet that I want to share with you, the international covers, excerpts or quotes, pictures, or freebies that come my way whenever they come to me and whenever I can.

So even though I will continue to visit your meme posts and have nothing but love for day-of-the-week memes, this is where me and memes officially part ways.

  6. YOur most important every day job is to little sweet pea. Memes, though neat, are exhausting and us mamas are exhausted enough! :)

  8. My kids are raised (I started my blog when my baby was a senior in college, lol). I don't know how people who are still raising a family manage to blog regularly. So "Go You!!". Enjoy that baby :)

  9. Babies come first, absolutely! As much as I try to make time to schedule memes to come out on the specific day, sometimes I wish I could just post them whenever I liked. I do quite like your personalized memes that you do on here so I'm glad they won't be completely gone!

  16. I miss seeing you around the blog everyday, but I know you are busy and enjoying life. I love your blog and will continue to follow you, whatever it is you post, whenever, it matters not to me. Enjoy your baby girl, she's what's most important and will always be the number one priority for you.

  18. They come into our lives, they steal the show and that's why we are head over heel in love with them! (Babies, I mean and not memes). Whimsy is great no matter what you put up. It always will be.

  20. Being a mom comes first and I know how stressful blogging can be. I think any post when and if you can is great! I have never participated in memes myself. I hope you and baby are doing good!

  24. I understands completely! Okay, well not the baby part, but the blog-when-you-can part...the world, she is a busy place for one and all these days, so you post when you can, and we'll read whatever you got. Deal? ^_^ *hugs*

  25. I can completely relate Juju! It's so hard to keep up with them all sometimes and that's why I've decided to only participate in ones that I really want to and even then only when I have the time. I love your blog so much and will read everything you write anyway. When can we see pics of baby whimsy?? :)

Pics of Miss Baby Whimsy? Good question. I have to ponder that :)

  26. Totally understandable, it's better to spend your time with Baby Whimsy than on oh-so-time-consuming memes (seriously, I'll never understand how some people manage to keep up a constant meme schedule - it's so hard!). Family should always comes first :)

Hope all you Whimsy's are doing great!

  27. real life is way more important that's for sure. I've recently had to cut back to three days a week for blogging. enjoy the baby

  28. I feel ya, Juju! I love doing the memes, but I can post them every week. I've cut back, too. I look forward to whatever you post!

  29. I tried to keep up, but fell by the wayside for the same reason. It is strangely liberating! Enjoy that baby girl. :)

  30. I can totally understand that. That's part of the reason that up until this last week I hadn't done the Monday Reading meme posts in awhile. You love them, but it's so hard to know for sure you'll have time to comment and be involved like you'd want to be. But, the thing I've learned...the internet is always here, but your kiddos grow up and eventually will move away. So enjoy the time we have now while we can. The nice thing is that most everyone I value online as a good friend completely understands this, we're all here for each other no matter how much or little time we can give. xo
