I am in cover love and wonder! Sure it's inaccurate (we collect vintage vinyl and radios so I know that radio does not play 45's and I am pretty sure it doesn't take head phones either) BUT still isn't it presh? I love the vintage beauty parlor dryer chairs and pink carpet! Plus how can you not love a story about a girl (who after finding her boyfriend cheating online) swears off technology and goes 1962?! SO glad I spotted this one this morning at Tina's Book Reviews.

Do you collect vintage vinyl or radios?

Ahhh! SO CUTE! I have to add this to my to-read list. I loooooved Sean Griswold's Head, and I've been looking for more from Leavitt. Great find!
ReplyDeleteO right on! I haven't tried that one. This will probably end up being my 1st LL.
DeleteThat's adorable! I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteMe neither :)
DeleteThat cover is so much fun. I used to have a little kiddie record player that I would listen to my books on. I haven't seen that thing in so long and I've been wanting to get one for old time's sake.
ReplyDeleteAwwww cool!
DeleteYou soooo should :)
I do like the cover! I like the green chairs against the purple rug.
ReplyDeleteThis also sounds like a fun book! I think I1ll add it to my wish list!
Yay *high five*
DeleteThat is a great cover! I do collect vintage vinyl, my kids are fascinated with the record player. We have some old Simon & Garfunkel and some big band records that are fun to listen to.
ReplyDeleteAre they?
DeleteI imagine my little gal will be like that some day.
Yay for old Simon & Garfunkel.
That's awesome.
My favorite is Bookends.
Short sweet simple song.
I loooooove big band.
We have a huge big band collection.
Very colorful! And what great premise for a novel! Who CAN go tech free in this day & age!
ReplyDeleteI know right? :)
DeleteWe don't have cable and I could do without phones and tvs but the lack of internet and audiobooks would be soooo hard.
That is absolutely adorable..I love the pink and green together! And no...I collect Books...that's enough! lol
ReplyDeleteLOL true :)
DeleteThe old blow dryers, that is hilariously fabulous :-)
ReplyDeleteRight ;)
DeleteI can't wait to read this one as I adored Sean Griswold's Head! And the cover is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat's what Cecelia was saying. I didn't even realize it was the same author. :) Total cover awesomeness.
DeleteIf the story reads as good as the cover looks, that would be a great book! :)
ReplyDeleteAmen :)
DeleteThat IS really cute! And it sounds cute, too. I'm definitely adding this one to my list. :)
ReplyDeleteOkay - I totally have to read this! I love the 60s.
ReplyDeleteYay! :)
DeleteIt's been like 60s week here.
DeleteI wouldn't have noticed the inaccuracies but it is a fun cover and the story sounds really interesting too. Don't know how much it will appeal to teens...
ReplyDeleteIt's only 'cause I'm crazy about vinyl and radios that I noticed :)
DeleteThis is an AWESOME cover! I would buy it...just for the cover. I'm such a cover whore! LOL
ReplyDeleteRight? Me too! It's sad the power covers have over me.
DeleteI don't collect either but do think the book sounds fun!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, this novel has me written all over it. I want to completely transform my life by going vintage, particularly the 30s and 40s. Collect vinyls, plan tea parties, all of that! Can't wait for this to come out.
ReplyDeleteRight! Me too!
DeleteOooo girl I looove all things 30s and 40s.
*high five*
I collect vinyl and I'm itching to have a tea party!
I don't collect vinyl or radios, but I should! How fun! This story looks cute and quirky--right up my alley. :)
ReplyDeleteYou should :) It's fun and there is a certain indescribable charm that comes from the sound of vinyl.
Deleteohmygosh, this sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteIke others have said...this is so you :)
ReplyDeleteThanks :D
DeleteI'm in love with this cover too, it's so adorable and fun! And the summary sounds interesting, too.
ReplyDeletehmmm... the author sounds familiar too me. i know i've read her before. racking my brains for a previous title by her... but going vintage looks like a fun read.
ReplyDeleteI know Sean Griswold's Head is one. But I haven't read that one either. :)
DeleteEep! It has a cover! I love her Princess books and have been counting down the days for this one. I love all the pink on the cover :) I really wish I had one of those hair drying chairs.
ReplyDeleteI kind of do too! No idea what I'd do with it but I love them. :)
DeleteI saw this on Tina's yesterday and it looked so adorable :) It is just the cutest cover ever!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy she featured it and brought it to my attention.
DeleteTotally one of the cutest covers! :)
Ooh...I'm with you. The story sounds like fun (well for us, not her) and the cover is definitely eye catching. Great find...now off to read more about it...
ReplyDeleteIsn't this the cutes cover ever? Love the sund of this books sooo cute!
ReplyDeleteI often wish I could enter a town and discover that its entire community lives in the 60s. Love this cover. Can't wait for the book.
ReplyDeleteOMG yes! That would be SO cool. Like Pleasantville but a little later. That would be too cool.
Deletesuch a perfect match :)
ReplyDeleteThanks :) I think so too.
DeleteLove that cover!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat cool stuff to collect!
Thanks :)
Deletei am SO reading this asap!!
ReplyDeleteI feel ya sista! :) So there with you.
DeleteAgreed! Honestly, I wouldn't have noticed any inaccuracies if you hadn't mentioned them. I always hear great things about the authors books so I'm thinking I need to add this to my tbr stat!
ReplyDeleteRight on :) I think for most it will totally go unnoticed.
DeleteI've been hearing awesome things about her too ever since I posted this. Which gets me even more excited to read it.
That cover is perfect, omg! LOL :)
ReplyDeleteAgreed :D
DeleteOhhhh, I just fell in love with that cover again!!!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHa :) Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention.
DeleteI have to agree, I love that cover! Especially, the pink carpet.
ReplyDeleteRight? I wish I could have this one as a small carpet in my office.
DeleteRight?? I was stalking Tina this morning too!!! This looks SUPER freaking fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteYay for Tina! :D
DeleteWhew hew- yay for me...:D hahaha
DeleteLove this cover so much! It's so bright and colorful and I want it on my shelf asap:)
ReplyDeleteRight? I can't stand the wait.
DeleteDefinitely eye-catching! I love the colors, and the storyline sounds fun (cheating boyfriend aside). :) Thanks for bringing this one to my attention!
ReplyDeleteHa! Right? Agreed.
DeleteI'm not so into vintage, but that cover is really cute. I loved Sean Griswold's Head so I'm definitely going to pick this one up. :)
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing that one rocks. I MUST look into it :)
DeleteCute cover for sure! I have never read anything by this author, but I hear she is talented!
ReplyDeleteMe neither :) and I've been hearing the same thing.
DeleteI love everything vintage...music, movies, style, houses...all of it :0). This cover rocks, and the story sounds SO fun! I'm totally going to check it out!
ReplyDeleteSO there with you doll! The only thing I don't totally love is old movies. I like some but some tend to be too old for me. Everything else I LOVE. I actually prefer buying old things to new things.
DeleteSeriously in love with that cover! I love the colors too! I've only read Lindsey's Princess for Hire series, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's more for a younger YA audience, but you may want to check it out for future reading by Baby Whimsy. ;o)
ReplyDeleteFabulous find!!!
O right on! I must look that up! I had no idea the authoress was such a cool writer. Thanks for the recommendation.
DeleteI love vintage anything/everything, especially vintage vinyl. I saw an old 1930s vintage radio once...the kind in a cabinet...and Mr. Reader had to physically restrain me from buying it. He was right, we had no place to put it, but somewhere in my alternate life universe, we own it and everyone thinks I am super cool for having it. :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! *high five*
DeleteI think you're super cool because you had to be physically pulled away from it. :)
Vintage radios and record players is a shared weakness for Mr. Whimsy and I. We have several and dream of owning a phonograph.
Super cute cover! Adding this to my list. Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteRight on ;) I knew you would!
DeleteI am also in love with retro and vintage! My dad owns a music store with records all over the place.
ReplyDeleteOMG too cool! :)
DeleteI would so have picked this book up, I love anything vintage.
ReplyDeleteRight? Me too :)
DeleteI love this cover. I also love the premise. It made me smile
ReplyDeleteI've never read any Leavitt books, although I've heard they're hilarious. I need to find my dad's old record player. I know it's around here somewhere, lol.
ReplyDeleteOoooo when you find it, let me know what kind of vinyl you decide(d) to play :)
DeleteWow! That's some BRIGHT pink. I like the retro feel, the bright green chairs are very complimentary to the pinks.
ReplyDeleteI love green and pink. In fact, those are the two main colors in Baby Whimsy's room.
DeleteI love the cover! I love the vintage but I also love her dress and shoes. Over all great cover!
ReplyDeleteTrue! Good call.
DeleteI LOVE that cover!! and the premise sounds so fun.
ReplyDeleteRight? Agreed!
DeleteI love vintage and retro. This cover looks so fun - - and I love the concept.
ReplyDeleteMy mom used to be a stylist (or a beautician, as they were known then) and the dryers with the green seats remind me so much of when I would go to work with her. He he!
Amen sister. Me too.
DeleteAwww that's so cute.
I love that beauty shop chairs feel so familiar to you. That's adorable.
Wow....what a fabulous blog. OUTSTANDING in every aspect.
