“Wow, the actual apocalypse was twelve years ago. I mean, we are living in the epilogue to the end of the world, and you’re telling me that we’re crazy for finding ways to have some fun in the middle of it? That’s fricking hilarious.”
From Sweetheart by Chelsea Cain
“You’re saying she was eaten by pugs?” “Over time. A few weeks.” Archie shook his head. “Nice.”
From Plague Town by Dana Fredsti
“Yeah. Zombies. Unless you have a better word for people who look dead, smell dead, and act dead, except for the whole walking-around-and-trying-to-eat-flesh part.”
I disagree! My imagination is much too alive. Except for my memories of childbirth. Toby (hubby) says the things his eyes saw, he will never forget. Which is why Kaitlyn is and will always be an only child. :)
LOL Mr. Whimsy says the same. Apparently during my c-section, they told him to look and he unfortunately obeyed without thinking. He jokes that after that, not much grosses him out.
Oh, I so agree with the quote! Seriously--reading scary books is WAY easier for me than watching frightening movies! Books--no prob. Movies--I'm such a sissy.
Okay, so it's a little after Halloween but this a great quote. All those things that spooked/shocked me in the past are easy to laugh of after the fact, but in the moment not so much.
