That picture absolutely melts my heart! My Dad named my favorite stuffed monkey, Jimmy, when I was little. Apparently the practice of naming your children's stuffed animals has been going on for generations :)
You have such a beautiful baby! Of course, I'm sure you already know that! ;) My youngest loves to kiss his stuffed animals, too, and it always makes me smile.
Oh my God, what a cute baby! And I'm sure she'll love it when she's bigger and sees herself kissing her favorite toy :) There was a period of time when my kid was kissing everything-even dirty cars, but given his love for cars, no surprise there...
Adorable! What a darling sweet baby girl. My daughter used to line up her stuffed toys on her bed before we left in the morning for daycare or school, then she'd kiss each one goodbye. Its not strange to name the toys, she'll always remember the names and will start naming them herself when she's able too - that's when it becomes extra cute.
Exactly! When I was little I loooved naming my dolls and stuffed babies. I'm enjoying naming rights since soon she'll be vetoing me and coming up with her own names before I know it.
She is precious! Kaitlyn LOVES to kiss her animals too. And we name hers as well. But we are not as creative. Her bunnies are just called Bun-Bun. And the different sized bunnies are: Soft bunny, fuzzy bunny, round bunny, and tall bunny. And then soft kitty. LOL Does Baby Whimsy have a Baby Stella doll? They are so soft and kissable. Kaitlyn has one and loves hers. They come with all different colored hair and there is a dark-headed one that reminds me of Baby Whimsy. :)
Sorry, I am exhausted. We went to the Children's Museum of Lake Charles, LA today and I am beat. All that running around and discovering new things really took it out of me. :)
It sure does. It's amazing. Nothing makes you realize the significance and speed of time like a child. I can't get over how big your kids are. Seems like just the other day.
absolutely adorable! My nephew didn't name his but he did like to line them up at the end of the crib and have a stern talking-to with them - we would catch him shaking his finger at them and babbling in a very agitated way!
She is adorable! My son's favorite lovely that he has carried around since he was 1 (he's now 6) is named Elephant. Yes, it is a stuffed elephant. But he named him and he was a very literal namer when he was small. He's gotten more creative the older he gets. But Elephant will always be Elephant though the poor thing is threadbare from being dragged around everywhere.
Your baby is absolutely beautiful!!!! I haven't been around the blogosphere in a long time (life happened), but the last time I was around was when you found out you were going to be a mommy. How lovely to see your precious baby!
That is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteJuju...that is so sweet! I name everything so a plushy owl named Hootie makes perfect sense to me!

Soon she'll be vetoing my suggestions. ;)

You laptop? I love it. I name cars but have never named my computers. I soooo should. So what's his or her's name?
DeleteI am dying from the cuteness! And I am obsessed with owls. :P Jealous!

You know what? I think I've asked you about baby Stella doll before. Sorry if it's a repeat. I tend to do that now that I have eternal Mommy brain!!
DeleteAnd I forgot to say that I love her pierced ears!
DeleteSorry, I am exhausted. We went to the Children's Museum of Lake Charles, LA today and I am beat. All that running around and discovering new things really took it out of me. :)
Bunbun is way cute!
DeleteSoft kitty?
I kinda like that.
Then I would have to sing her the soft kitty song from The Big Bang Theory (the TV show).
She doesn't have a Stella yet.
I so need to get her one. Maybe for her birthday.
You never have to apologize. ;)
Thank you. I love her ears too. I'm Hispanic and mine were done when I was a baby too.
Children's Museum? How funnn! I want pictures! :)
I've named the majority of my kiddos plush favorites. Can't help it.
ReplyDeleteAnd oh how I LOVE this photo! Wow. Stunning. She's getting so big! How time flies. ::sigh::
Oh good! :) I love hearing I'm not the only one.
DeleteIt sure does.
