Random Loveliness of the Week

How are you darlings? I have an itchy throat and outside my window, spring and winter are battling. Echinacea tea is helping. How about you? Is it warm or cold? A day of relaxation or a day of activity?

...

Need a shot of sweetness? Watch this Amelie inspired mini movie Shannon and and her husband made about their love.

I need the courage to try adding a touch of pink to all my rooms.

This Art Nouveau wedding is seriously fabulous.

Wouldn't this tea bag plate rest make a great gift for the tea fan in your life?

Have I ever confessed to you my crush on Stanley Tucci? I just requested his new cookbook from the library. Who is your unexpected celebrity crush?

Antique vs. Vintage vs. Retro

I had no idea toothpaste can soothe bug bites.

I really like Lauren Conrad's advice to the novice flea market shopper.

My new March desktop wallpaper makes me smile every time I open my computer.

  1. Fun links! I don't want to admit my celebrity crush publicly - I'd come across as a cougar!

  2. I love pink in a room...I have an overstuffed pink and white ticking chair and ottoman in my bedroom...I love it...and all sorts of vintage scraps of pink quilts framed in peely white frames!

    Thank you for sharing!

    1. Right on :)

I love pink but I never really work into my house. It's in Baby Whimsy's room but I want to try adding more all around. :)

I think I first fell for him when he played Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream.

      Have you read Lauren's books?
I'm not sure they're for me but I LOVE her decor and fashion ideas.

      Thanks shug!

  5. You made my day with your Stanley Tucci crush! ;) I ADORE him!!!! I've already checked out that cookbook from my library, too. My husband teased me a bit about it.

I hope you get to feeling better soon! An itchy throat is one of those pains I'm really wimpy about, so you have my sympathy. :S

  7. I hope you feel better soon. I had a sore throat a few weeks ago and it lingered for awhile. It's still really cold here. I can't wait for spring, but I looked at the 10 day forecast and it's still going to be cold. Booo! I love that wedding and the bridesmaids dresses are soooo cute. I also love your March desktop wallpaper. I should change mine up! Thanks for sharing all these fun links!

  9. I've been looking to change mine and I love that one so I think we're going to be desktop twins lol!
We have SO much pink in our house! Mostly bedrooms: my room is all pink with a darker pink accent wall and my parent's room is pink. My dad wouldn't pick a color when they first moved in so my mom was just like 'fine you won't pick a color, I'm painting it pink!' it even has it's own floral wallpaper, my dad just *loves* it LOL
My unexpected celebrity crush is Robert Downy Jr. I know he's old enough to be my dad, but yummmmm!
Hope you feel better soon, Juju! :)

      Thanks doll!

  10. I'm so lucky that we have been getting pretty great weather where I live because it's usually freezing at this time of the year! Just recovering from a cold myself, so I feel your pain - hope you get better soon! And thanks always for the links! I really love these posts of yours.

  11. THe antique/vintage/retro article is interesting. I always thought of retro as something that is brand new but style after something vintage. Like a cool 'retro' dress you found at the mall. Idk, just me!

    1. Ooo I know what you mean.
I definitely use it like that way too.
Except I usually say "retro style".

Love Stanley Tucci btw too. Adore him. And now must have that book. <3

  25. I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I actually also have a cold and sore throat, so I feel your pain (literally). It's just the curse of this time of year I guess.

Amazing links as usual! OH my gosh, I can't believe you have a crush on the Tucc too! LOVE him. I have so many inappropriate strange crushes, I wouldn't know where to start. Benedict Cumberbatch, for sure.

That Amelie video was SO cute. I wish my BF would want to Amelie-ify our lives for a video. :-)

And I knew toothpaste could clean jewelry, but I didn't know it helped bug bites either. Pretty handy!

Amazing post, and I hope you feel better soon! Keep drinking tons of tea, that's the prescription I'm giving myself. :-)

  35. Spring and Winter were battling here this week as well Juju, but Winter has won hands down. We got about 6 inches of snow last night. Now, I'm a Winter girl, so this works out well for me, but I think the rest of Columbus woke up and cried a little bit when they saw all that snow!
