Little Things Mean a Lot

This week we have been so very grateful for time outside.

I'm basically spring's cheerleader.

For this peaceful little dude too.

He's our new buddy with fins. I love watching him. Now if only we could pick him a name. Got any ideas?

I'm also loving We Laugh, We Cry, We Cook, Lemon's return to Hart of Dixie, The Mindy Project's comeback, The Pursuit of Mary Bennet, and God is Able.

Got any little things you're loving or grateful for this week?

  1. I am just grateful to be able to step out on the deck...barefooted...no coat...and sit on the swing...life can be so good!

  2. Love it! I hope you are enjoying it. Little things like good weather definitely makes a difference. I live in Northern California so our winters are pretty mild. Spring is here, but we have been having a series of thunderstorms. I don't mind though, we need it!

  4. Way to many things to list! BUT I am getting a new mac in about a week. And I am very grateful for that! :)

My Little Fishy Finn Foo Fighter (big name, little fish) just passed. I had him on my desk at work for almost 2 years. He always made me smile. :)

    1. Ooooo nicee! Congratulations. I want a new laptop.

Foo Fighter? Oh my stars Liz! Adorable name. I'm so sorry that he's gone. :( Do you think Little Fishy Finn Foo Fighter would mind having a namesake out there honoring him?

    2. I think that he would LOVE it! :)
He was a good fish. He would follow the tip of my pen when a would drag it across the sides of his bowl. I might have to get another one. ....

  5. Your little fish is so cute, I had beta fish for years, they were always so neat to watch. We have a joke about naming our next fish Hook. We're also quite a disney family so I would push for King Triton.

This week I am thankful for the rain, and the awesome thunder we had this afternoon. I'm thankful for the reunion of a work family that I haven't seen in years. I'm thankful for the fact my 6 year old has gotten her own breakfast both days of this week. I am thankful that tomorrow is Wednesday and that means the week is half over.

    1. Hook? I love it. Funnnny!
King Triton fun too. Though I imagine King Triton as orange for some reason.

Whoot whoot! A child getting their own breakfast is a beautiful thing I bet.
Yay for family time and much needed rain.
You are so right. The weekend is drawing very near.
Thanks for coming by and sharing all the things you're grateful for.
      :)

  6. I'm cheerleading right along with you babe!
Fishy's cute! I always had fish tanks and we always named our fish. This one looks like a dancer, so maybe name him after a famous dancer?

You know I always hated Lemon, but now I love her! And... yes, Joel is growing on me. But did you see the previews? I don't want to do a spoiler so I'll wait for your answer.

    1. Ooooo after a dancer? I love that idea.

Me too. I hated her for the longest time and now I can not get enough of her.

I did see the preview. It looks SO cute and funny. I'm not sure what I make of this development.

    2. So you saw that Joel is leaving for a while????? WTF?
I just start liking him and he leaves!

    3. I did! I'm not sure what to make of it. And you're right, he had grown on me.

I am extremely grateful for spring having arrived early, a month ago, and sunshine and that nobody played an April Fool's joke on me.

  13. Yay! I can't wait for warmer temperatures…it's taking its time to warm up here in PA. Your photos are gorgeous! I am so behind with HoD….probably about 5-6 episodes. I can't wait to catch up, but I wasn't the biggest fan of Joel. Ugh. Maybe he still isn't on the show?

    1. I'm sending some warm vibes your way now.

OOooo you have to catch up. Lemon is back and she brings back all kinds of fun and scandal. The show wasn't the same without her. Never thought I'd say that but it's so true. The actress was away on maternity leave. Thank heavens she's returned.

O and there's a new Joel development. Let me know if you want me to email you the development. I don't want to give it away if you don't want me to.

We've been debating adding a fishy friend to our family. I can't wait to hear what you name yours!

  19. I wish I could have more time outside, it's still cold I the Chicago area (except for last Monday). But, it's good to look forward to warm days ahead. Happy days with your fish, too! I love how he wears "red". ;)

  20. I am grateful for first day I could take off my jacket while driving my car to the supermarket. Doesn't sound like a big deal? We still have snow frozen in random spots in my area; it was so high that even the wonderful sun the last few days and some mild rain couldn't completely wash it away. So yes, I am thrilled to be in short sleeves in my car :)
A name for your beautiful-colored fish: Pinky.

    1. It doesn't have to be a big deal as long as it makes you happy. I remember that day. It was awesome.

Pinky is so cute! Reminds me of Pinky and the Brain.

  21. I love spring too! Fish are so peaceful to watch. I've been a little Divergent obsessed recently so the only name I can think of is Tobias. ;) Happy Sunshine Days!

  22. Like you I'm so grateful for the spring. I was marveling at all the new leaves yesterday and mentioned to my husband and got a blank stare. How could he not notice after such a long winter?!?! Have you asked Baby Whimsy what she would like to name the fish? She might be too young but she might have something funny. Or just Fishy. ;)

Nemo is a good name but I'm secretly thinking I want to save it for a future clown fish.

  26. I love your Beta! I have had two in the past 13 years. Both lived 2 years (one a little longer). I brought one to the states all the way from Alaska in a cup container. He rode in a car and on a ferry as I moved back to the lower 48. Both were named Bubs. Betas are so social!

    1. Whoa. That is one strong fish to make that voyage.

      Bubs? I love that.

My betta sure is. Some of the ones I saw were so, "Whatevs lady leave me alone." But this guy I swear looks me square in the face. He's bold. I appreciate that.

  27. What gorgeous photos, Juju! It was pouring down rain here yesterday, thundering and lightening flashing, which I loved. :)

What a sweet fishy. He looks like a "Mr. Darcy" to me ;)

    1. Rain can be sweet.

Mr. Darcy! I did actually consider that one. But he's so forward I didn't think Darcy was appropriate. Yes I'm the weirdo that tries to match the name to the fishy personality. LOL Thanks for the suggestion though.

  29. OUTSIDE JUJU!!! It's been so long since I've been outdoors without a coat, hat, mittens and boots that I almost didn't know what to do with myself when we had warmer weather earlier in the week. I felt like I was emerging from solitary confinement, all blinking and squinting at the sun:) *sigh*

  33. I'm so happy to hear you're having nice weather and enjoying the outdoors! Apparently your cheering has paid off. :-) I just adore these lovely pictures, and what a cute new friend you have! I'd probably name a fish Nemo or something overtly fishy. I like the Mr. Darcy suggestion from above too!

    1. Thank you. :)

I'm thinking I'm gonna save Nemo for a future clownfish. I see many fish in my future. I was just telling B that I seriously considered Mr. Darcy but because this little guy is so forward, it didn't seem right.
