Fun! I've always liked horseback riding when I was a kid. I kinda miss it! I am sure the kids had fun :)
Sweet, indeed! :-)Could these be Haflinger horses?Wishing you a wonderful Sunday,Merisi
They look very similar but I don't think. These I believe are shorter and stockier.Thank you sweetie. I hope you're having an awesome week.
Aww! Adorable. I bet Miss Whimsy loved it. :) It looks like spring where you are…enjoy!
Yes. I do believe spring is here to stay. Thank heavens. :)
She had SO much fun.
They are gorgeous!
They are beautiful! Lovely photos!Lauren,http://www.atouchofsoutherngrace.com/
Gorgeous animals, Juju! I hope little Whimsy had fun petting them :)
That is just so adorable...seriously...
Are those Shetland Ponies? I don't have horses, never have, but I love them. As a kid we got to take rides on my cousin's neighbor's pony. I am probably wrong though. We need an equine enthusiast to set us straight :) Thanks for sharing.
I don't think so. They were more mid sized (taller) though not as tall as a typical horse and I believe from Finland originally maybe?Awww that's awesome. Thank you for coming by and trying to help me figure it out.
they are too cute.http://www.averysweetblog.com/
So cute! They look very sweet and gentle. I'm sure the kids had a great time with them.
They did. And I was amazed with their patience.
Awe they look so nice. We have lots of horses around our neighborhood. The best was when we had two colts.
Oh wow really? You must live somewhere really beautiful.
Love. When I was little I visited a friend of my mom's who raised small horses like these and I adored them. I loved seeing them and they remain a very fond memory. <3
Awww that's awesome. :)
They are so cute! And that BLUE sky!
You're so right. It was sooo very beautiful clear blue.
awww they're so beautiful!
What a wonderful treat! They look so sweet and gentle!Rowena @ rolala loves
They really were so gentle. Surprisingly so.
They are adorable and I bet Miss Whimsy fell in love. My sister in law has some ponies like these and I keep meaning to introduce Elle to them! (they live out of town).
She really did. When we first got there she thought horses were similar to cows and mooed. Now she knows they neigh and can point out horses. It was a fun day.
I remember seeing some similar horses near my place but I don't speak horse either so I don't know their breed. They are so much fun to be with.
Yes they are. :)
They're beautiful! Bet little Whimsy loved meeting them
She reallly did. :)
Oh how sweet! How did little miss Whimsy react to them? Is she an animal lover?
Oh my yes. She adores anything living. Truly. From ants to horses and everything in between. She's an animal girl.
There is something so beautiful and peaceful in their faces! How sweet that you got to interact with them!!
Right? They were sooo zen.
So cute! We have a bunch of shetland ponies that live across the street from my parents. My sister and I sneak over and feed them carrots whenever I visit haha
Awwww :) I bet they loooove you girls.
Oh wow, they are beautiful! I'm so glad to hear Miss Whimsy got a chance to meet them, I bet that made her day! :-)
I WANT to snorgle them!!! Oh, I love horses! They look part sheltie.
Ha. You made me giggle. Wait you're back on your blog?
Aww they look so sweet and gentle :3
They are so cute! Love to give them some pats.
This reminded me of my mom taking me to the park to ride ponies when I was little. Sugar was my favorite :-)
Aww how sweet and what a darling name. :)
Aww, I love their gentle sunshine faces :) Sounds like a good day.
Sunshine faces? Awwww what a great way to put it. :)
oh they are so beautiful!!!
so sweet! I imagine Baby Whimsy was beside herself with joy over these gentle giants!
Awe! I love them! :) ~Liz
That color has always been one of my favorites on horses. Those look so sweet! My family used to raise horses when I was younger, and they aren't always sweet! (as I'm sure most people know.) ;)
Awww awesome. Exactly. They're not always very sweet but these two really are.
Aw how sweet! I bet that was quite the treat for Little Miss Whimsy to pet a horse! :)
Yes! Definitely. A very cool treat.
they are adorable!
aww, they are totally adorable! They look really sweet, not proud and aggressive like some other horses. Love.
Yes! Exactly. :)
So cute!! Love the blue skies, too, looks like you had a nice day!
We sure did. Thank you. :)
Looks like a Fjord Draft Horse! It's the dun colouring and black stripe down the mane that makes me think that. I absolutely adore horses and in my spare time I like to research breeding and genes in horses... heh, so that's my guess. They look so sweet!
Ooooo you might be right! Good call. :)I did not know that about you. I love that I just learned something new that you love. Do you ride as well?
I do ride, but I haven't had the opportunity in a long while. Hopefully I can make time this summer!
That would be awesome. I don't ride but a friend of mine tells me, it brings her a peace nothing else in the world quite does.
I took my oldest horseback riding the other day for his first time. It was so fun to share something like that with him especially since I have such fond memories of riding on my grandfather's farm.
